Weekend Wrap Up: The Best View is Lakeview

Terrace, that is. Lakeview Terrace won the weekend box office with $15.6 M. Films this September have been performing incredibly well. Despite the recent downturn in the economy, it doesn’t seem to have affected the theatre industry in terms of Box Office. September is a typically slow month, but things have been looking up so far. In addition, I’d like to note that my prediction for Lakeview Terrace as the choice movie this weekend was correct, as reported in my weekly Movies This Weekend! column. I wasn’t right about my second choice though, as Burn After Reading stayed hot with the #2 spot.

As for angry guests, or strange occurrances this weekend, there were none. A pretty uneventful weekend, a little bit busier than I expected, but nothing too bad. Was surprised to see how many people came out to see House Bunny on any given night… guess a lot of them were trying to sneak into My Best Friend’s Girl.
Oh.. there is one interesting thing I learned this weekend: It takes about 30 minutes to explain to an old Russian how to purchase movie tickets online…
